Brad Barlow has been the area controller for four and one half years. He replaced Lance Andrewsen the last time we were here. They have a tradition of having a luncheon for such occasions. Here is the dessert table with some of the pastries.
Brad told stories about his experiences in Germany. He said that people in the United States believe that you can drive your car as fast as you want. Not so he announced. Between he and his wife they managed to get 18 speeding tickets.
That is when he broke down and started to cry--not really-- it was when he said that he would miss the people he has been working with and the relationships he has formed.
And then the feast began. This is the sandwich table.
Marieanne makes "creative" bread masterpieces for people when they leave. Here is Brad with his. He is returning to the hive (the Salt Lake office) and he is the bee.
The next day we had the annual ward party and barbecue and here is the food table.
Here we have Marilynn starting to eat. That is my plate with the traditional bratwurst.
This is Gilles and his family with the Coltons. They all will leave for Salt Lake shortly.
