We are back home in Friedrichsdorf. We have had an unusual winter this year. It is still quite cool in Germany and we continue to get a lot of rain. The news on the TV says that we are getting too much water and the rivers everywhere are flooding. We are on high ground and it has not had an impact on us.
Below is our dinner salad. It is made up of field lettuce with blueberries, kiwi, oranges, and apples. It is really good. I will have to look into raising field lettuce when we get back home.
We went for a walk in the forest east of Friedrichsdorf and a train came by--so I took a picture.
The rain has made the forest come alive with green leaves. It is quite relaxing and refreshing to take an afternoon walk.
As we came out of the forest we could see Frankfurt on the horizon. Most days don't provide this visibility.
Not far from the temple north-east of town is this bright orange house. I just had to take a picture.
The German's love their flower gardens. They have small front yards but some times the flowers offer a stunning display. This bright pink and orange display is not unusual.
