It is General Conference today. That means that we can watch it on the internet at 6:00 and 10 PM. We stayed up last night and will stay up again tonight. We decided to take a walk and take some pictures. It really is a nice day.
These first pictures are of the building where we live. We are behind on the second floor.
Here is the other side of the House. Our balcony is on the second floor. We are just about in the middle--slightly to the right.
This is taken about 100 yards from the previous picture. This is looking towards the Friedrichsdorf Temple.
This picture is taken from just about the same place as the last shot of the temple, but this time we are looking back towards our house. This is just to give you an idea about how far we live from the temple. (It is about as far as we have to walk at the Jordan River or Draper Temple)
Marilynn walking to the temple on a great fall afternoon. The flowers are still in bloom and the leaves are starting to turn.
This is a shot of the spire (which is not attached to the temple) and the front of the temple.
This is the sign at the street for the temple.
This shows the temple from under the overpass near the temple.
Then we went on another walk through the forest. It has been raining and you can see mud on the path.
I took some more pictures of the temple as we returned from our walk.
This is the front door of the temple. There is a doorbell and you have to wait for someone to buzz you in. You might expect the door to open "in" but it doesn't. It pulls out.
Back view of the temple.
This is a shot of the Friedrichsdorf church (on the temple grounds) looking back towards our apartment.
