This is a Brazilian drink provided by Sergio Rocha. It tasted really good and is supposed to be very popular.
In Germany, the person having a birthday brings the treats. On Marilynn's birthday we brought the cheese cake you see below. The bowl contains raspberry syrup to put on top of the cheese cake. Rich cheese cake with sweet raspberry syrup is good!
The office staff looked on as the birthday girl opened her presents. Here you see Henry, Anahil, Carolin, Marilynn, and Marieanne.

We keep winter alive by having snow storms. This is the view out of our kitchen window looking south towards Friedrichsdorf.
Here is the lovely birthday girl smiling after opening her birthday surprise. It is glasses cleaning tissue.
Here we have Carolin, Marilynn, and Marieanne enjoying the raspberries and cheese cake.
Here is the rest of the office staff enjoying Marilynn's birthday. Anahil, Henry, Sister Eyre, Wim, Sergio, and Elder Eyre.
Marilynn attends a german class for the senior missionaries each week. The teacher invited her friend, Brother Poes, to come and talk about his hunting and the animal population in Germany. The next few pictures are some of Reinhard Poes' collection of stuffed animals. They represent the fauna one would find in the woods of Germany. Reinhard says that they were actually road kill and not killed by a hunter. Reinhard is well known for his hunting interest, but his objects are the wild pigs (boars) that inhabit the countryside. He collects these animals/birds and has them stuffed because he goes into the schools and teaches the children about them.
